Delila Vallot is an American stage, film and television actress, dancer and director born and raised in Hollywood, California. She is a longboard surfer and former member of the Black Surfers Coalition.
During her time in front of the lens, Delila created several short experimental films. The 2013 suspense thriller Tunnel Vision starring Cristos, Ion Overman and Scott Haze, was her debut as a feature length film director. In December 2015, Delila released her first feature documentary titled Can You Dig This, EP’d by John Legend, which won a Jury Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival. 2017 marked the LAFF premiere of her second feature documentary, Mighty Ground, which recently won the Audience Award at the Calgary International Film Festival. Delila has programmed twice for Slamdance Film Festival and was on the Jury for Milwaukee Film Festival in 2017 and Mammoth Film Festival in 2019.
Among the shows Delila has performed are Saturday Night Live, The Academy Awards, The Billboard Music Awards with Beyonce, and national Janes Addiction Tour. She is recipient of the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion Spotlight Award and has performed in movies such as The Singing Detective with Robert Downey Jr., dance double for Tyra Banks in Coyote Ugly, Rent, as well as music videos for Miles Davis, Lenny Kravitz, Art of Noise, Hole, Weird Al, Tom Scott, Bonnie Rait, and Prince. She starred in a sci-fi pilot opposite Harry Lennix, directed by Carl Weathers and recently performed with the Robey Theater Company and co-starred on CSI: Cyber.
She began her theatrical training with the Al Fann Ensemble, joining the Screen Actors Guild at age seven and soon after began training at Lichine Ballet, studying Vaganova Ballet from Irina Kovsmoska, one of the three Russian “Baby Ballerinas.” She was a member of the KaRon Brown-Lehman Modern Dance Company, a two-time series regular on Italian TV and has lived and performed on stage venues in Tokyo, Martinique, Moscow, Hannover, New York, Los Angeles and Monte Carlo. She has been seen in over thirty national commercials and print campaigns including Citroen, Ford, Pepsi, AGFA Film, Dr. Pepper, Suntori Brandi, Miyake for Elle Magazine, Nike, LaZBoy and Mercedes Benz.
Delila meditates about an hour each day, practices Reiki, Kundalini and Vinyasa yoga, and her favorite book is “The Untethered Soul.”
